PROTHETICS
A dental prosthesis can replace one or more missing teeth and soft tissue (gums). Depending on whether the patient can remove the denture or not, it is referred to as fixed or removable. Removable dentures must be removed and cleaned after every meal. It is usually a cheaper alternative to the fixed solution.
The comfort of such a solution is an alternative to the fixed solution. It is more evolutive and less expensive than the fixed solution. The fixed prosthesis is either a crown (e.g. made of ceramic) that covers part or all of a tooth, or a ceramic bridge that replaces one or more teeth. Very good aesthetics and a high level of comfort can be achieved.
