CEREC
In the CEREC procedure, the dentist uses a computer (CAD/CAM) to produce a precisely fitting porcelain filling in just one session. The fillings are made from biocompatible dental ceramics and are produced without damaging the tooth structure. Impressions, temporary restorations, a second anesthetic and waiting times are no longer necessary. Perfect appearance, accuracy of fit and a long service life have been scientifically proven with this method. The CEREC method was developed in the 1980s by Prof. Mörmann and his colleagues at the University of Zurich and has been continuously improved ever since.
